It’s been a long time coming, but I finally got away from my computer and behind the camera to direct my first short film.
Even the Darkness has Arms was meant to be ready for Halloween 2016 but we only ended up shooting it in November of that year. It took some time to complete an edit I was happy with and wouldn’t have happened without the help of so many amazing people.
It was a small crew but we managed to pull off some amazing stuff.
It had its world premiere during the Fantastique weekends de cinema quebecois at the 2017 Fantasia Film Festival. This festival has been a big part of my life for over twenty years and to have something I directed finally be a part of it was overwhelming.
