Lee Paula Springer

Lee is a screenwriter, producer, and documentary filmmaker.

In 2000, she appeared as a subject in the National Film Board of Canada’s SALT, a feature-length documentary directed by four 17-year-old girls. She briefly studied journalism before becoming a translator and copy editor, and later ventured into screenwriting and film production.

Lee co-produced and co-starred in the short film Even The Darkness Has Arms (2017), and is the co-writer of the feature-length screenplays, Shallow Water, Red Acres and H.P. Lovecraft’s The Outsider.

Dead Dicks, her feature film co-directorial debut with Chris Bavota, premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival on July 25th, 2019, where it went to win the Audience Award for Best Canadian Feature.
